Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PSX: PPL) announced a gas discovery at the exploratory well Tor-1 in the Latif Block, Khairpur District, Sindh. The development was communicated through a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday. The well is operated by United Energy Pakistan Beta (UEP Beta), holding a 33.40% working interest, with PPL and Prime Pakistan Limited each holding 33.30% interest.

PPL anticipates that this discovery will increase hydrocarbon reserves and contribute to the domestic gas supply, aiding in meeting the country’s gas demand. The company, incorporated in Pakistan in 1950, focuses on the exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas resources.
